Spokane Creek offers a unique lodging and family vacation experience close to Mt Rushmore and Custer State Park in the heart of the Black Hills. Whether you are looking for a vacation cabin, an RV site, or a place to pitch a tent, we offer a wide variety of vacation options to meet everyone’s budget and needs. For those looking to experience the great outdoors but without an RV or tent, we have 19 unique cabins with varying levels of amenities. Our level, grassy RV sites include full or partial hookup and back up to Forest Service land or sit along our babbling creek. Our shady tent sites are situated along Spokane Creek and offer primitive camping or water & electric hookups. Because we offer so many lodging options we are an ideal location for a family reunion, group adventure, or just a place to call home while on vacation.
We believe vacations are opportunities for folks to unplug from day-to-day life, to strengthen relationships & to create memories that will last a lifetime. It is because of that belief that we strive to make Spokane Creek Cabins & Campground the perfect place to escape & enjoy time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday responsibilities. A place where there are no TVs and limited cell service. A safe place where there is plenty of open space for the kids to play & run, a place to hike and swim, a place to relax & enjoy time with nature and with each other.
Located on one of the most scenic and unique roads in America, we are also a great location for your next motorcycle adventure. The Black Hills offers hundreds of miles of great motorcycle riding and is the home of the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Spokane Creek Cabins & Campground is located in the heart of some of the best rides in the Hills making it a great place to vacation while enjoying the area on a motorcycle.
Our cabins & campground sit in a valley on 26 picturesque acres surrounded by Forest Service land just 7 miles south of Keystone, South Dakota. We are located on the spectacular, historic Iron Mountain Road between Custer State Park and Mount Rushmore National Memorial, giving us the ideal location for you to enjoy the beauty of the Black Hills while experiencing the local wildlife that visit us regularly.
Spend your day at the campground relaxing and enjoying our many amenities or take off on one of countless Black Hills adventures. At night, relax and enjoy the babbling creek and big sky loaded with stars, roast marshmallows by a campfire, or attend one of several night shows in the area. You and your family will not run short of fabulous vacation experiences. Every day can be its own adventure. From outdoor activities to historical exploration to animal adventures, there are plenty of opportunities to create family memories that will last a lifetime.
As a word of caution to 1st-time visitors…a couple of days are not nearly enough time to spend in the Black Hills, so please allow enough time to make the most of your vacation, otherwise you may feel anxious that you missed so much!
Spokane Creek is a full-service vacation destination, offering gas, diesel, and propane, a café and coffee shop serving breakfast, lunch & dinner, and home of the Iron Mountain Road Visitor Center & Store (home of official Iron Mountain Road merchandise).
We are a family-owned, family-oriented business dedicated to helping you make the most of your vacation. We are pet friendly, however, please review our pet policy carefully before deciding to bring your pet as they are not allowed at many attractions and we do have restrictions on the size and number of pets.

Dubbed the "best little coffee shop in the forest" we brew custom coffee and espresso, roasted locally in the Black Hills. Iron Mountain Road Coffee is a delicious way to start the day or for an afternoon pick me up.
Don't feel like cooking? Along with the coffee shop, we have a full service cafe serving breakfast, lunch & dinner.
For breakfast we offer fresh baked cinnamon rolls, muffins & scones or enjoy a breakfast plate, wrap, or biscuits & gravy.
For lunch or dinner enjoy a fresh, made to order pizza, sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, pulled pork sandwich or Brian's smoked tender loin sandwich. We have something for everyone.

The Iron Mountain Road Visitor Center & Store is located within the Spokane Creek Cabins & Campground facilities and is the home of Official Iron Mountain Road Merchandise.
Guests to the Black Hills are welcome to stop in the Visitor Center for information about Iron Mountain Road, local area attractions, maps, directions, suggestions and other tourist information.
The store offers exclusive Iron Mountain Road souvenirs, t-shirts and memorabilia to help commemorate the spectacular journey along Iron Mountain Road. It also offers a wide variety of other items, creating a unique shopping experience that everyone can enjoy. Whether you are looking for the perfect souvenir for friends and family back home or something for yourself, we strive to offer a wide variety of gifts that you cannot find anywhere else in the Black Hills.
